Important Message from Principal Hamilton

Due to COVID-19, many of our procedures and routines will be different. These changes have been made for health and safety reasons. Our top priority is the well being of our faculty, staff, and students. Listed below are some important things parents need to know:

1) No parents or visitors are allowed in the school building unless they have made an appointment with a faculty member.

2) Students can only ride the bus they are assigned to ride, and must sit in their assigned seats. Parent letters, notes, or phone calls to change buses will not be accepted. If your child needs to be transported to a different location, make arrangements for someone to pick them up. Assigned buses will drop students off at approved daycare locations. No students will be allowed to ride different buses.

3) Virtual school will start on August 24th. Chromebooks for VIRTUAL students can be picked up Thursday, Aug. 20th from 4:00 to 6:00 and Friday, Aug. 21st from 8:30 to 3:30. In order to receive a chromebook, parents must complete the Parent Technology Training and the Device Agreement Form. The training can be completed on the ahs.bpsb.us website. (Click HERE to access the training.)

4) Meals for VIRTUAL students can be picked up every Thursday from 1pm to 2pm starting August 27th. Five meals will be provided to each student per week. There is a form that must be completed.

5) Chromebooks for HYBRID students will be given out or can be picked up on Monday, August 31st for A-day students and Tuesday, September 1st for B-day students. In order to receive a chromebook, parents must complete the Parent Technology Training and the Device Agreement Form. The training can be completed on the ahs.bpsb.us website.

6) A-Day students will start school August 17th, and B-Day students will start August 18th. These are half days, and school will be DISMISSED at 11:30am. If you don’t know which day your child is assigned, please contact the school. Someone will be available to assist Sunday, August 16th from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.

7) The regular school day is 7:50am to 3:25pm. Students can arrive on campus at 7:30am. No students are allowed on campus before 7:30. Students must be picked up by 4:00pm.

The administration, faculty, and staff at Arcadia High School would like to thank all parents and guardians for being patient and understanding. We look forward to having a GREAT school year regardless of the circumstances. Life has given us lemons, and WE are going to make LEMONADE!
